Work Blunders: New hire confesses to stealing coffee beans on her first day and is promptly fired: 'Someone saw it happen'
If there's one universal truth about office life, it's this: you can mess with deadlines, you can mess with printer settings, you can even mess with the thermostat… but you do not mess with a corporate girl's coffee supply. Apparently, no one told the new hire this golden rule.
What started as a totally normal onboarding day turned into one of the funniest "you've gotta be kidding me" workplace moments I've ever seen — all thanks to two innocent bags of Starbucks beans and one very literal interpretation of "free for anyone to use." Look, I'll be honest. At the end of every week, I shove one or two granola bars from the office pantry into my backpack and eat them on the weekend. But there's definitely a difference between take a little extra for the ride home and quite literally stealing the entire supply. Who knows, maybe this is some part of an elaborate scam to get free coffee!
